KBN and Modellus Novus reimagined key areas of Harvard Business School’s Spangler Center as a flexible environment for learning, dining, collaboration, and informal business exchange. Developed in collaboration with Compass Group, the proposal organizes the space into open, adaptable zones that support different uses throughout the day, encouraging connection beyond the traditional classroom or boardroom.
The design elevates the food and hospitality program as a catalyst for social interaction and professional engagement. Grounded by local granite that reflects Harvard’s architectural language, the lower levels establish a strong material base, while a new landscaped canopy extends the experience outward as an indoor/outdoor pavilion and welcoming southern threshold to the broader community.
