Human sight carries an educated yet sharp ability for learning.

We get used to what we see thanks to the capacity we have to process endless images, that often and rather quickly, turn into what’s best known as memories. This is why we get familiar with a place, a landscape, a person, a specific moment.

But what happens if we could manipulate even just a single frame within this set of images? We could find ourselves experiencing something that doesn’t exist in reality but could be suddenly found in our memories, therefore, as mentioned before, in the realm of something familiar. The main idea is trying to work with the world of fantasy, building a pavilion that could take the user onto a different path while on a journey towards a different destination.
Like an interference, a dissonance, an out of tune experience.

Through the four (4) Periscopes the user could experience the landscape in a more exploratory way. The Land and the Vines continue their complex pattern to the sky, following the basic principles of photographic negative, where colors change to their opposite, generating a different color spectrum, yet intertwined with the original source. The juxtaposition and alteration of the landscape strengthens the concept of “Fermentation” giving life to a creative performance that begins from the pattern the nature itself has to offer.  A pavilion that has been conceived as an experiment of visual art, an interactive art installation that plays with one specific sense, the human sight, with the ultimate goal of challenging our imagination through an unexpected experience.
