A refurbishment and fit out of a Grade I Listed building on Harley Street, London, creating a series of studio spaces for creative industries.
The design balances the character of the historic building with a contemporary approach, respecting and restoring the existing architectural features while introducing carefully considered new elements. The project includes the design of a bespoke kitchen and joinery elements, alongside furniture and lighting design and curation, creating a cohesive environment that responds to both the heritage of the building and its new use.
Harlem Townhouse

This narrow Harlem townhouse is shaped around a central stair that wraps through the home, transforming vertical circulation into a continuous journey between floors. More than a functional element, the stair becomes the project’s organizing thread, opening vistas, visual connections, and moments of pause throughout the house.
A neutral palette was chosen to give the inhabitants room to shape the home over time, allowing furniture, objects, light, and daily life to gradually fill each space with character. The house is conceived as a setting where memories can be established, gathered, and nourished.
At the roof level, the deck extends domestic life into the city, offering a place for outdoor living, quiet gatherings, and the cultivation of a rose garden above Harlem.

A full internal renovation of a Victorian property in Walthamstow, London, where original period details were carefully retained and enhanced while introducing a refined modern sensibility.
The design celebrates the home’s character through classical finishes such as checkered marble, bespoke joinery, new custom English style kitchen and thoughtfully detailed bathrooms. Every element was crafted to bring the house to a high contemporary standard, creating a seamless dialogue between heritage and modern living, with each space unfolding as a testament to timeless design and meticulous craftsmanship.

A fit-out of a coffee shop in Hackney, London.
The design is organised around a long central bar, which forms the main focus of the space and defines the relationship between service, display and customer areas.
The project includes bespoke timber joinery, integrated shelving and display elements, custom furniture and carefully considered lighting. A restrained palette of warm timber, stone and soft finishes creates a simple and cohesive interior with a strong emphasis on materiality and craftsmanship.

The conversion of a three-story Victorian terrace house into a mixed-use property, retaining the ground floor as a solicitor’s office and transforming the upper floors into three residential flats.
The proposed flats include two 2-bedroom units (upper ground and first floors) and a studio flat (second floor), with the loft space. The proposal retains the existing fabric of the property while it includes a two-story rear extension built on the footprint of the lower ground floor.

It includes bespoke medical-grade joinery, high-quality finishes and fittings, and a clear, functional layout that respects the character of the building and the needs of patients and clinical staff.

Alteration of a Victorian terrace house in Woodford, London.
The house revolves around the kitchen, achieving the Owner vision of being the core of the House with an open plan approach.
Opening up the original interior arrangement allowed natural light to come into play for a dramatic internal opening to enable views through the house. In close collaboration with the Client we created custom material palettes through the employment of natural materials such as clay plaster, timber and stone.
KBN has been responsible for seeking and maintaining compliance with the Authorities having Jurisdiction.

A playground for creative architectural design.
Designed for a digital/creative director in Washington. The lower level serves as a carport, while upstairs, a workshop/atelier provides a quiet, reserved space to focus, unplug, and create. Surrounded by rich greenery and trees, the structure feels naturally sheltered.
KBN has overseen both, Structural and Architectural Design, managing compliance with the relevant Authorities. Construction set to begin Spring 2025.
